NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's track and field finished up its weekend of competition in Charlottesville, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday. 16 Bruins competed against a variety of teams in their final meets before returning to the Music City for competition.Â
On Friday at the University of Virginia, three Belmont runners were active in distance races. Kevin Vanderkolk earned 10th place in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:20.64.Â
Jack Zettl and Jacob Ricks both ran in the 5000m. Zettl claimed 20th in 14:58.89 while Ricks came in 24th, finishing in 15:08.71.Â
On that same day in Atlanta, six Bruins took on the 1500m at the Georgia Tech Invite.  Joel Wolf headlined the group, finishing 23rd overall in 3:56.00, claiming the top spot in his heat, achieving a personal best time. Â
Gavin Morrow also notched a new personal best in 4:00.03.Â
Mathew Miller was the lone Bruin in the 100m where he finished in 11.16 seconds.Â
In long jump, Trey Collins claimed 10th, jumping 6.85m.Â
On Saturday, Noah Grimm was the only representative for Belmont in the high jump. He placed fifth, clearing 1.96m.Â
In pole vault, Collins finished 10th again, clearing 4.40m.Â
In the 200m, Miller was accompanied by Jayden Gray. Miller finished in 23.14 while Gray followed in 26.44.Â
Eric Toviave and Garrett Horowitz both ran in the 400m Hurdles. Toviave finished in 56.03 seconds while Horowitz followed in 1:06.04.
Five Bruins ran in the 800m. Wolf and Morrow were joined by Zach Brill, Garrett Hesselgesser and Wyatt Womack. Wolf finished in 1:56.24, with Morrow's time not far behind. Brill crossed the line in 1:58.07, earning first place in his heat.Â
