QUICK HITS
  • Four players recorded at least three hits in the opening series. Freshman Pete Daniel led the Bruins offensively with four hits and hit his first collegiate home run in game two of Sunday's doubleheader. Max Jones, Landon Godsey, and Brodey Heaton all recorded three hits.
  • Mason Landers and Max Jones led the Bruins with three RBIs on the weekend. Landers's bat came alive Sunday, as the senior third baseman hit his first home run in game one, and knocked in two runs in game two. Jones delivered a pinch-hit RBI double in game one and started the scoring for Belmont with a 2-RBI single in the first inning of game two. Jones is the only Bruin to reach base successfully in all four games.
  • Belmont relievers Hank Liss and Jett Thielke completed multi-inning saves in the series. Liss made his collegiate debut on Friday and tossed three innings, four hits, one run, and two strikeouts. Thielke slammed the door on the Eagles' offense Saturday, as the right hander went four innings, punching out five batters, and allowing only one run on two hits.
  • Bill Duby made the most of his Belmont debut in game two on Sunday. He was called upon in the sixth inning, and entered a tied ball game with no outs and a runner on second. Duby got the next three hitters to ground out. He then tossed a nine-pitch seventh inning highlighted by two strikeouts.
  • Junior transfer Landon Godsey had a stellar debut starting behind home plate Friday afternoon. Godsey went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs, which lifted the Bruins to a 4-3 victory. He made two more starts behind the dish during the series.
  • Belmont successfully stole eight bases during their series against Eastern Michigan. Max Blessinger led both teams with three stolen bags and scored twice.

SERIES HISTORY VS. NORTH ALABAMA
Belmont is 6-13 all-time against North Alabama. The Bruins are 4-2 since the Lions made the jump to Division I in 2018. The Bruins have won the last four meetings by a combined score of 38-15. • UNA returns eight starting position players from last year's roster, who all started in 35 or more games.
  • Sophomore Gehrig Frei was selected to the 2023 ASUN All-Freshman Team. The infielder was the only Lion to play and start in all 51 of the team's games, and wrapped up the season with a .293 batting average and an .838 OPS.
