MVC Names Six Bruins to Scholar-Athlete Team

Samuel, Virtel, Tabor, Wise, Walker, and Whittington All Recognized

NASHVILLE, TENN -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced its 2025 All-Scholar Team, honoring student-athletes who excelled both on the field and in the classroom.

Anna Samuel earned a spot on the All-Scholar Team after posting a 3.74 GPA as an Exercise Science major. On the field, she appeared in 17 games with 11 starts, totaling 732 minutes, and scored her first career goal in the regular-season finale against Illinois State.

Kennedy Wise was named to the All-Scholar Team after maintaining an impressive 3.95 GPA as a Biology major. On the field, she appeared in 17 matches with 16 starts, logging 974 minutes, while contributing two goals and one assist during the season.

Kate Virtel earned All-Scholar Team honors after achieving a 3.86 GPA as an Exercise Science major. She started all 17 matches this season, totaling 1,073 minutes of play and scoring one goal.

Laken Whittington was recognized on the All-Scholar Team after earning a 3.59 GPA as a Biology major. She appeared in all 17 matches, making 11 starts, while contributing three goals and two assists throughout the season.

Olivia Walker was named to the All-Scholar Team as a Biology major earning a 3.59 GPA. She appeared in 17 games and started 8 throughout the season contributing two goals and two assists while totaling 599 minutes of play.

Lillie Tabor earned All-Scholar Team recognition after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Finance major. She led the team in minutes played with 1,519 and added one assist on the season.
