SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 17
th place at The Peoples Championship at Sea Palms held this week in Sea Island, Georgia.
Belmont shot a final round 302 to finish in 17
th place with a 54-hole score of 879. UNCG won the team title with a score of 831, with Davidson finishing second at 847.
Leading the way for the Bruins was sophomore
Chris Harpum, who tied for 39
th place at 217. He shot a final round 75 on Saturday.
Junior
Conner Brown shot a 78 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 47
th place at 218.
Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: sophomore
Grey Goff (T-73, 223), graduate student
Foster Wood (T-92, 227), and freshman
Brennan Cozad (T-92, 227).
Sophomore
Jack Darke, competing as an individual, is tied for 108
th at 231.
Drexel's Drue Nicholas earned medalist honors with a score of 201.
The men's golf team is back in action March 24-26 at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate match play event in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
