WATERLOO, Ill. – The Belmont men's golf team is in sixth place after 36 holes of the MVC Championship held Monday at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Illinois.
Belmont posted a 289 on Tuesday to move up two spots to sixth place with a mark of 588. Illinois State has the team lead at 556, with Murray State in second at 567.
Four Bruins rank among the top-25 after two rounds of play. Junior
Jack Darke carded another one-over par round of 72 to move up to a tie for 12
th place at 144. He is 12 stokes back of the individual leader, Francis Bautista, at 132.
Senior
Conner Brown, along with juniors
Chris Harpum and
Grant Clark are all tied for 24
th place at 148. Brown shot a 74 on Tuesday, while Harpum posted a 72 and Clark an even par 71.
Junior
Grey Goff is in 45
th place at 163.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8:30am. Belmont will tee off from the first hole from 8:30-9:10am. Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
