NASHVILLE, Tenn. --Â The Belmont men's golf team announces the addition of transfer Omar Khalid for the 2026-27 season.
Khalid comes to Belmont after spending the last two seasons at Evansville. During his time with the Purple Aces, he played in 50 competitive rounds and had seven top-30 finishes.Â
This past season, Omar earned All-MVC honors after finishing third at the MVC Championship and posted a scoring average of 73.93.Â
"We are excited that Omar has decided to join us here at Belmont," saidÂ
Daniel DeLuca, Belmont's Head Coach. "His experience and talent will allow him to make an immediate impact and help this program move forward."
During the 2025-26 season, the Bruins played in 12 events and posted four top-five finishes. Their best finish was a third place showing at the Yestingsmeier Invitational last fall.Â
