WATERLOO, Ill. – The Belmont men's golf team is in eighth place after round one of the MVC Championship held Sunday at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Illinois.
Belmont carded a first round team score of 299 to finish the day in eighth place. Southern Illinois has the team lead at 279, with Murray State in second place at 282.
Two Bruins are among the top-25 after 18 holes. Junior
Jack Darke shot an one over par 72 to finish the round in a tie for 13
th place. He is seven strokes back of the individual leader, Omar Khalis of Evansville (65).
Senior
Conner Brown is tied for 22
nd place after posting a three over par 74 on Sunday.
Other Belmont scores from day one included: junior

Grey Goff (65
th, 81).
The second round will begin Monday morning at 8:30am. Belmont will tee off from the 10
