ATLANTA - The Belmont University men's track and field team kicked off the outdoor season at Georgia Tech's Yellow Jacket Invite in Atlanta over the weekend. Four Bruins placed in the top 10 in their events across Friday and Saturday.
Freshman
Jack Perry earned himself third place in the pole vault with a height of 4.63 meters (15-feet, 2.25 inches).
Graduate student
Aidan Dinsbeer finished seventh in the pole vault at 4.33 meters (14-feet, 2.5 inches).
In the javelin throw, sophomore
Sam Parker finished fourth a performance of 57.65 meters (189-feet, 1 inch). Senior
Ben Miller finished close behind in sixth place at 47.77 meters (156-feet, 8 inches).
The Bruins take on their first multi-meet weekend of the season next week with the Hilltopper Relays in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Friday and Saturday and the Raleigh Realys in North Carolina Thursday-Saturday.
