Bruins Bullets
- Leadoff hitter and shortstop Pete Daniel ranks seventh in the MVC with a team-high .371 batting average. Daniel leads the Bruins with a conference-best 36 hits, eight doubles and is tied with Charlie Davis for the team lead in stolen bases (11). The sophomore went 7-for-12 with five RBIs in last weekend's series against Illinois State.
- Mike Sprockett's power continues to shine for the Bruins. The catcher has hit five home runs and driven in 10 runs in the last 10 games. His .528 slugging percentage is second to Ty Allen's .592. Sprockett and Allen lead the team and rank third in the MVC with seven home runs.
- Allen is second in the MVC with 28 RBIs. In the last 10 games, the sophomore has driven in 16 runs on 15 hits.
- Will Pryor leads Belmont pitchers with 26 strikeouts. Freshman Andrew Perry is second with 22 punchouts in 10 appearances, followed by Jake Timbes and Joe Ruzicka with 21 each.
- Belmont is 5-1 this season when the team hits two or more home runs in a game.
- Logan Brock has allowed just one earned run in 10 innings of work (.90 ERA). The freshman has appeared in five games and has eight strikeouts.
Scouting Report: Missouri State Bears
- Missouri State defeated No. 2 Arkansas 14-13 in 10 innings on Tuesday night. The Bears scored five runs in the ninth to force extra innings in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
- The Bears received five first-place votes and were named the MVC preseason poll. Second baseman Nick Rodriguez and outfielder Caden Bogenpohl were named to the preseason all-conference team.
- Rodriguez leads Missouri State with a .351 batting average and sits atop the MVC leaderboard with 26 runs scored.
