NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's track and field delivered strong performances across the board competing at the Brent Chumbley Memorial Hilltopper Relays and the Raleigh Relays this past weekend.

At the Hilltopper Relays, the Bruins earned a whopping 15 top-10 placements, with ten of those placements being in the top three.

Jack Perry finished first in the pole vault with a measure of 4.75m.
Â
Austin Belle won the 400m in 50.46 seconds with
Daniel Crouse just behind him in 50.96 seconds.
Â
In the 400m hurdles,
Morgan Lewis placed first in a time of 54.40 seconds while Eric Toviave was close behind in second, with a time of 56.44 seconds.

The Belmont 1-2 finishes continued in the 110 hurdles as Vince Elegance earned top billing in 14.53 seconds with Toviave next.

Trey Collins placed second in long jump with a measure of 6.78m.

The hits kept coming in throwing events as
Sam Parker earned first place in the javelin, with a measure of 56.12m, while
Ben Miller earned fourth plce at 47.00m.

Lleyton Penn placed third in shot put with 15.65m.
Â
Seven Bruin men struggled took part in the Raleigh Relays, each looking for improved standing in conference and NCAA regional marks.
Â
Notably,
Kevin Vanderkolk bested numerous major conference competitors in placing 41st in the 3000m steeplechase in 9:02.88.

The Bruins return to competition at the Joe Walker Invite at the University of Mississippi next Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.
