RALEIGH, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 12
th place at the Stitch Intercollegiate held this weekend at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Belmont carded rounds of 294 and 293 on Saturday to finish in 12
th place at 886. Lipscomb won the team title with a mark of 853. UNCG placed second at 886.
Leading the way for the Bruins was graduate student
Foster Wood. The Signal Mountain, Tennessee native posted rounds of 73 and 70 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 20
th place at 216. He finished eight strokes back of the medalist, Michael Vick of NC State (208). It was Wood's second top-25 finish of the season.
Junior
Conner Brown tied for 50
th place at 223 after shooting rounds of 74 and 74.
Sophomore
Grey Goff tied for 60
th place with a 54-hole mark of 226.
Freshman
Brennan Cozad tied for 69
th place at 229, while sophomore
Chris Harpum tied for 73
rd place at 233.
The men's golf team is back in action on April 20-22 at the MVC Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.
