WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - - Belmont University men's golf stands in third place after 36 holes of play Monday in the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship from Des Moines Country Club.

Belmont carded team rounds of 294 and 287 to enter Tuesday's final round within striking distance of Murray State and Illinois State.

The Bruins' 287 team total in round two tied for the second-best round of the season; Belmont posted a 284 in round two of The Peoples Championship in March.

Foster Wood led Belmont with fine form. He carded nine birdies in total in posting consecutive rounds of three under par 69 to stand at six under par 138 – one shot behind Trey Wall of Murray State for the individual lead.

Wood's 36-hole total of 138 is one off the program record for conference tournament play, shared by Dan Smith (2011) and Evan Davis (2019).

Chris Harpum was outstanding in his own right, as four birdies and an eagle on the par 5 13
th highlighted his afternoon round of four under par 68. He stands tied for eighth at 143.

Conner Brown also delivered. The Shelbyville, Tennessee native had four birdies in round two for a one under par 71 as he enters the final round T-25.

Grey Goff carded an opening round 74 to stand T-39.
Grant Clark is T-42.
