CARBONDALE, Ill. - - Belmont University men's track & field delivered several strong performances Sunday as the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships came to a close from Lew Hartzog Track & Field Complex.

Belmont finished sixth in the team standings with 64 points; Indiana State won the conference team title.

The Bruins were headlined by
Morgan Lewis, who continued his remarkable spring campaign by placing second in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 51.62.

The men's 5000m race became arguably the most electrifying finish of the entire weekend; as a photo finish decided everything from second to fifth place.

Nick Mota took home fourth place in a time of 14:27.44, fractions of a second from silver or bronze.

The Belmont 4x400m relay team earned major points with a fourth-place showing as well.

Other notable finishes included
Austin Belle placing fifth in the 200m in a time of 21.28 and Vince Flegeance placing sixth in the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.68.

Belmont will await final qualifying times and marks for the 2025 NCAA East Region meet in the Jacksonville, Florida May 28-31.
