Two Additions Join the Belmont Track & Field and Cross Country Coaching Staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University director of cross country and track & field Jeff Langdon has announced former track & field standouts Knox Perry and Rebekah Stucker have been added to the Bruin coaching staff.
 
Perry has been named assistant coach while Stucker joins as a graduate assistant coach.
 
Perry has served as a volunteer assistant coach at Belmont for the last two years, specializing in pole vault training. During that time, the Bruins had three podium finishes at the Missouri Valley Conference meet, established three new school records, with Tyra Finkeldey earning a bid to the 2024 NCAA Championship east regional qualifier in Lexington, Kentucky.
 
The Franklin, Tennessee native has also worked at Montgomery Bell Academy and Music City Track Club, where Perry has coached several of the top-ranked pole vaulters in the nation for their age group.
 
Perry had a decorated pole-vaulting career at Belmont, earning four conference podium finishes including gold at the 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.
 
He earned his bachelor's degree with honors from Belmont in sport administration in 2023.
 
For her part, Stucker ranks among the greatest weight throwers in Belmont history.
 
Having rewritten the Bruin record book in hammer throw and discus, Stucker stands as a six-time conference champion.
 
She earned 13 total medals between the Missouri Valley Conference and Ohio Valley Conference. She also qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships east regional qualifier twice, including in both the hammer and discuss.
 
A native of Odessa, Missouri, Stucker is pursuing her master's degree at Belmont.
