NASHVILLE, Tenn. -Â The Belmont University Men's Track & Field team returns to Vanderbilt for the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Both days of the meet will be streamed on SEC Network+.
34 teams will be in attendance at this year's invitational, including MVC competitor Murray State.

The Bruin women performed well at Vanderbilt's Commodore Winter Challenge in December. Record-setterÂ
Alexa Fortman placed 2nd in her first collegiate 1000m race with a time of 2:54.74.
Additionally, freshman throwerÂ
Gifty Bediako had an impressive debut, placing 7th in the weight throw and 13th in the shot put. Three Belmont athletes competed in the 300m, led byÂ
Jennifer Mims who placed 20th out of 53 runners with a time of 40.32.

The Bruins will kick off the Vanderbilt Invitational with the heptathlon, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The heptathlon will be followed by a series of field events: the pole vault, high jump, weight throw, and long jump. The day finishes with the 1,000m, 5,000m, 200m, and distance medley relay.

Saturday features the heptathlon, high jump, and shot put, before heading into the 60m hurdles, 60m, the mile, 400m, 800m, 3,000m and the 4x400m relay.
