NORMAN, Okla. – The Belmont men's golf team earned the President's Special Recognition Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as the organization announced their academic awards on Tuesday.  Â
To be recognized by the GCAA as an All-Academic Team, teams need to achieve a GPA of 3.0-or-better for the 2024-25 academic year.  With Belmont's team GPA being above 3.5, they were among the 75 Division I schools that received the President's Special Recognition.Â
This marks the 16
th straight year that the program has received this honor.
During the 2024-25 season, the Bruins played in 12 events and posted three top-five finishes. Their best finish was a third place showing at the MVC Championship. In addition,Â
Foster Wood became the third Bruin to earn All-MVC honors..
The men's golf team kicks off their 2025 fall season on September 15-16 at the Grover Page Classic in Memphis.
