ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team is tied for the lead after round one of The Peoples Championship at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The Bruins posted a 277 in round one to tie for the team lead with host Western Carolina. Samford is in third place at 278. Today's round ranks as the third lowest of the season by Belmont.
Junior
Chris Harpum is tied for the individual lead after 18 holes as he posted a five-under par 66. His round included one eagle, six birdies, and three bogeys.
Teammate
Grant Clark is two shots back of Harpum and in a tie for eighth as he carded a 68, his lowest score as a Bruin.

Jack Doyle (T-92, 76).
