ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team is in 11
th place after two rounds of The Peoples Championship at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The Bruins struggled on Friday posting a 16 over par 300 to drop down to 11
th place at 577. Host Western Carolina has the lead at 559, with Samford in second at 562.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-25 after 36 holes. Junior
Grant Clark carded a 74 in the second round to finish the day in a tie for 19
th place at 143. Fellow junior
Chris Harpum shot a 77 to finish the day in a tie for 25
th place at 143.
Other Belmont scores included: junior
Jack Darke (T-48, 146), senior
Conner Brown (T-67, 148), and freshman
Jack Darke (T-88, 151).
Samford's Gavin Isabell and Xavier's Cayce Morgan are tied for the individual lead at 135.
