NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont Baseball returns to action Tuesday afternoon for a crosstown showdown against the Vanderbilt Commodores, carrying momentum from a strong weekend performance.
Belmont enters the matchup with a 10-18 overall record after a successful series against UIC, where the Bruins showed resilience and timely hitting to secure a key win. Highlighted by clutch offense including a pivotal home run from Jake Maddox. Belmont was able to capitalize in big moments and build confidence heading into the midweek test.
Offensively, the Bruins continue to produce throughout the lineup, hitting .257 as a team with 231 hits, 136 runs, and 22 home runs through 28 games this season .
Leading the charge is Brady Holbrook, who owns a team-best .357 batting average with 20 hits and a .482 slugging percentage. Charlie Davis has also been a key contributor, batting .333 with a team-high 39 hits, along with eight doubles, four triples, and 21 RBIs .Power production has come from multiple spots in the order, including Cavan McMeans and Mike Sprockett, who each have four home runs on the year, helping Belmont generate offense in critical situations .
