LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in 12
th place at the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational held this week in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Bruins posted rounds of 304 and 302 on Tuesday to finish in 12
th place at 912. Host Kentucky won the team title at 858, while Marquette placed second at 862.
Leading the way for the Bruins was junior
Chris Harpum. The Kentucky native tied for 34
th place at 226. He shot rounds of 76 and 75 on Tuesday.
Fellow junior
Grey Goff was four shots back of Harpum and tied for 48
th place at 230. He carded rounds of 78 and 75 on the final day.
Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: senior Conne Brown (T-51, 231), junior
Grant Clark (T-58, 232), and junior
Jack Darke (T-72, 235).
Freshman
Jack Doyle, competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 51st place at 231.
The men's golf team in back in action next Monday, April 20 at The Muirfield Shootout, a one day event in Dublin, Ohio.
