PADUCAH, Ky. – The Belmont men's golf team is in 13
th place after day one of the Racer Intercollegiate held Monday in Paducah, Kentucky.
Belmont posted rounds of 305 and 296 to finish the day in 13
th place at 601. Chattanooga has the team lead at 557, with host Murray State in second at 572.
Leading the way for the Bruins is senior
Conner Brown. The Shelbyville, Tennessee native shot rounds of 73 and 72 to finish the day at 145 and in a tie for 26
th place. He is eight strokes back of the leader, Chattanooga's Ethan Whitaker (138).
Other Belmont scores from day one included: junior
Jack Darke (T-66, 152), junior
Grant Clark (T-70, 153), junior
Chris Harpum (T-72, 154), and freshman
Jack Doyle (T-75, 155).
Two Bruins are competing as individuals: junior
Grey Goff is tied tor 34
th place at 156, while freshman
Charlie Spiller is tied for 89
th place at 161.
