Greta Genie Named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer student-athlete Greta Genie has been named Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
 
Genie recorded her second career shutout in Belmont's season opening result vs. Tennessee Tech.
 
The Eastvale, California native then made a career-high 10 saves Aug. 16 at defending Southern Conference champion and top 50 program, Samford.
 
Genie has represented Nicaragua, her father's nation of origin, in FIBA international competitions.
 
Belmont returns to action Thursday, Aug 20 vs. Chattanooga. Match time is 5 p.m. CT from E.S. Rose Park.
