ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Senior
Chris Harpum (Union, Ky.) and junior
Omar Khalid (Karachi, Pakistan) has been named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Co-Golfers of the Week as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The duo tied for fourth out of 76 players at this week's Jaguar Invitational in Augusta, Georgia. Harpum shot a three-round scores of 73-70-69=212, while Khalid carded scores of 69-72-71=212. Both were five strokes back of the co-medalists, Chapman Barnett and Pieter Rossouw of Augusta (207).
It marks the first time that both players have earned weekly honors from the MVC.
Overall, Belmont finished in third place in the field of 10 teams.
The men's golf team is back in action on September 20-22 at the Grahame McDowell Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.
