NASHVILLE, TENN.— Belmont University women's soccer officially opens its fall campaign at Middle Tennessee Thursday.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Hayes Soccer Stadium.
- Belmont went 1-0-1 during exhibition play
- Senior Erin Patterson scored the game-winning goal in the Bruins' victory over Lipscomb
- Sophomore Anna Sweeney tallied for Belmont in a 1-1 draw vs. Southern Illinois
- Belmont was selected fifth in OVC Preseason Poll
- Rachel Vernon was named OVC Player to Watch
- This marks the 17th meeting between Belmont and Middle Tennessee
- Middle Tennessee claimed the last meeting, winning 5-3 in 2018
- Julie Garst, Emily Whitcomb and Sarah Bossung scored for Belmont
- Garst opened the scoring with a goal in the third minute
- This marks Middle Tennessee's third consecutive match vs. an OVC team; having played Tennessee Tech (W, 2-0) and Austin Peay (T, 1-1) during exhibition play
