NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday morning at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
In their third meet of the season, the Bruins claimed 10th place overall in a field of 43 teams. Belmont finished ahead of Georgia Tech, Army, Georgia and Rutgers.
Nick Mota led the way for the Bruins, finishing 25th with a personal best 8K time of 24:33.2. Zac Shaffer and Ethan Hammer were the other two Bruins to finish inside the top 50, with both securing times under 25:00.
The next three Belmont runners to finish were Kevin Vanderkolk in 98th, Jack Zettl in 113th and Drew Brill in 117th.
Carter Cheeseman finished in 25:24.
Zach Brill, Jacob Ricks and Joel Wolf rounded out a successful day for the Bruins out on the course in Pennsylvania.Â
