Nashville, Tenn -- The Belmont University women's track and field squad had a great weekend competing in the Outdoor Music City Challenge at nearby Vanderbilt University.Â
Top Performing Bruins
Logan Gray headlined for the Bruins, securing a program record in shot put with a throw of 16.42m, 53' 10.5", clinching an event win. She ranks atop the Missouri Valley Conference in her event and at No.20 in the NCAA East Region.Â
Michella Diebenow secured a new program record in the 100m hurdles with a quick time of 13.82 seconds. She ranks fifth in the MVC in her event.
Alexa Fortman broke her own program record in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:10.11 as she secured a top five finish. She ranks inside the top ten in her event in the conference.
Emma García Palencia earned a second place finish in the javelin throw with a personal best heave of 43.46m, 142' 7", which places her third in the MVC.
Tyra Finkeldey jumped 3.90m, securing the No.3 spot in the MVC. She ranks inside the top 100 of the NCAA East Region in her event.

The Bruins will have one weekend off before preparing for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana, May 10-12.Â
