TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - - Belmont University men's track & field put forth a number of strong performances on Sunday at the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships from the Gibson Track & Field Complex on the campus of Indiana State University.

The Bruins earned three podium finishes on Sunday - headlined by a first place finish from
Carter Cheeseman in the 5000m - to wrap up the conference meet in sixth place in the team standings.

Adding to his arsenal of wins this weekend,
Carter Cheeseman took first in the 5000m with a time of 14:20.23. He won the 10000m on Friday with a time of 29:47.85.

After advancing to the finals in the 110m hurdles,
Vincent Flegeance took second place with an outstanding time of 14.19.
Â
In the 200m finals,
Tezz Dozier climbed onto the podium, claiming a new personal record on the way. He finished second with a time of 20.99.

Morgan Lewis earned a top five finish and
Eric Toviave was able to run a season best time in the 400m hurdles.

The Bruins had a bevy of strong performances in the 5000m from
Nick Mota,
Jacob Ricks, and
Zach Brill. The three all ran times under 15:00.
