NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont women's soccer (5-5-1, 2-0 MVC) returns to action Sunday, Sept. 29, against UIC (2-7-1, 1-0-1 MVC).
Kickoff from E.S. Rose Park is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Bruins will celebrate Alumni Day with a special halftime recognition of all alumni. The program will also recognize the 2008 Hall of Fame team.
What's Bruin
- Belmont is 4-0-1 in their last five matches. The five-match unbeaten streak is the longest since the Bruins went 3-0-2 from Sept. 29 to Oct. 18, 2019.
- Two-time MVC Goalkeeper of the Week Sydney Jones recorded two shutouts to start MVC play; the only goalkeeper in the conference to do so. Her nine saves against Evansville and Illinois State led the MVC for the second consecutive week. Jones ranks fourth in the MVC with 46 saves and a .793 save percentage.
- Eliza Paisley was named the MVC Defender of the Week. Paisley scored her first career goal in Belmont's 2-0 road win against Illinois State on Sept. 22. Paisley and the Bruins held Evansville and Illinois State to a season-low eight shots. The junior has started in nine matches and played 593 minutes.
- Freshman Ava Labocki leads the team with four goals and is tied for second in the MVC. Reagan Ross and Kennedy Wise are tied for second on the team with two goals each.
- Kennedy Bernsen leads the Bruins with two assists.
- Belmont's five wins are tied with UNI for the second-most in the MVC.
- Five of Belmont's eight goals in their last five matches have come with an assist.
- The Bruins are 3-1-1 when they score first and 3-0 when they lead at halftime.
- Seven players have scored a goal for the Bruins; eight have recorded an assist.
Scouting the Flames
- UIC earned a 1-1 result against Murray State on Sept. 26. Makenna Maloy scored in the 67th minute, assisted by Hannah Gryzik.
- MVC Player of the Week Riley Collett scored both goals in the Flames' 2-0 win over UNI. Collett is the first UIC player to earn conference honors this season and was the first to score multiple goals in a game since Oct. 19, 2023.
- The Flames have been outshot 32-62 in their last four matches.

- Belmont is 1-0-3 all-time against UIC.
