NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - The Belmont University Men's Track and Field team returns to Vanderbilt for the Vanderbilt Invitational at the David Williams II Recreation & Wellness Center on Friday and Saturday.

Both days of the meet will be streamed on SEC Network+.

Belmont swept the first batch of the Missouri Valley Conference Weekly Awards earlier this week. Redshirt sophomore
Jayce Gray was named the MVC Men's Track Athlete of the Week after he broke the program's 60-meter record - held for 18 years – with a time of 6.8 seconds.

Freshman
Jack Perry was named the MVC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. Perry placed second in the pole vault, 4.8 meters, in his first collegiate meet. His performance at the Commodore Challenge was the third-best vault in the MVC this spring.

The Bruins will kick off the Vanderbilt Invitational with the heptathlon, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The heptathlon will be followed by a series of field events: the pole vault, weight throw, high jump and long jump. The day finishes with the 200 meters, 1,000 meters, 5,000 meters and distance medley relay.

Saturday features the heptathlon, shot put, and triple jump, before heading into the 60-meter hurdles, 60 meters, the mile, 400 meters, 800 meters, 3,000 meters and the 4x400 relay.
