EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Belmont University men's cross country team earned a strong third-place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships on Friday morning, held at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course in Evansville, Ind.
The Bruins scored 89 points, finishing behind Bradley (49 points) and UIC (74 points).
Andrew Hammel led the Bruins, placing fifth with an impressive time of 24:37.45 in the 8K race.
Drew Brill and
Zach Brill followed closely behind, finishing 12th and 14th, and both running times under 25 minutes.
Sam Shuman finished 26th, and
Noah Epker finished 32nd, rounding out Bruins point-scorers.
Hammel earned All-Conference honors, while Drew and
Zach Brill received All-Conference honorable mentions.
