LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The Belmont University men's track and field team competed in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational at Louisville over the weekend. The Bruins continued their progression toward the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship and faced a deep field of some of the region's best programs.
Junior
Andrew Hammel was the top performer for the Bruins over the weekend. Hammel won the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:24.09.
Freshman
Jack Perry placed fifth in the pole vault with a 4.74-meter performance.
Senior
Jackson Grant notched a top-five result in the weight throw with his season-best effort of 15.81 meters.
Junior Vince Flegeance posted a time of 8.19 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles for a personal best. Junior
Zach Brill's 8:25.03 performance in the 3,000 meters resulted in a personal record.

Elizee Toviave, and sophomore
Morgan Lewis posted a season-best time of 3:18.22.
