SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf team is in 11
th place after two rounds of The Peoples Championship at Sea Palms held Thursday in Sea Island, Georgia.
Belmont shot nine strokes better on Friday and posted a second round 284 to move up five places to 11
thplace and a 36-hole score of 577. UNCG continues to have the team lead at 547, with Vilanova in second place at 562.
Two Bruins rank among the top-25 after 36 holes. Junior
Conner Brown and sophomore
Chris Harpum are tied for 21
st place with a two round score of 142. Chris carded a four under par 67, which tied his season low, while Conner posted an even par 71. They are nine stokes of the individual leaders: UNCG's Kelvin Hernandez and Jake Lewis (133).
Other Belmont scores from Friday include: sophomore
Grey Goff (T-70, 148), graduate student
Foster Wood (T-82, 150), and freshman
Brennan Cozad (T-87, 151).
Sophomore
Jack Darke, competing as an individual, is tied for 108
th at 154.
