NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Belmont University women's cross country team finished 24th in a talented field of 52 teams at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Bruins faced off against top regional competitors and came out on top against South Florida and UT Martin, among others.
Standout freshman
Sophie Nicholls pulled out to lead the Belmont pack early on, finishing 48th with a time of 17:39.5
Clara Crain,
Lilie Fouts, and
Carson Wasemiller stuck close together, all finishing between 18:07-18:36.Â
