NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Belmont University Men's Track & Field team competed at the Vanderbilt Invitational over the weekend with the Bruins represented in 11 different events.
In the field events, sophomore
Kyle Garratt started Saturday morning off with a third place finish in the men's shot put.
Two Bruins placed in the top 10 in the pole vault. Returner
Jack Perry placed seventh, and Freshman
Gabe Heck placed 10th, a bump up from his 13th place finish at his Belmont debut during the Commodore Winter Challenge.
Making his debut this weekend was freshman
Aaron Richter. Richter ran the 800m and placed 21st out of 53, with a time of 1:54.41.
During the final event of the weekend, Belmont's 4x400m relay team (
Austin Belle,
Daniel Crouse,
Tezz Dozier, and
Tyler Nunn) placed 10th.
The Bruins return to action next weekend for the Crossroads of America Invite at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis, Ind.Â
