Men's Golf Kicks Off Fall Season at the Jaguar Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team kicks off their fall season this Monday and Tuesday at the Jaguar Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.

WHAT'S BRUIN

• The Bruins are coming off a 2025-26 season where they posted four top-five finishes and had a team scoring average of 294.4.  Their best finish was a third place showing at the Yestingsmeier Invitational last fall.
• Senior Chris Harpum led the team last season with a 73.5 average and two top-20 finishes.  He also led the team in rounds of par or lower (12) and the third lowest round of the season, a 66, at The Peoples Championship in March. 
• The squad includes four new players, two transfers and two freshmen.  Junior Omar Khalid comes to BU from Evansville, while junior Hugh Donegan spent two seasons at West Virginia.  The two freshmen are both from Tennessee: Leo Froio from Franklin and Jackson Whaley from Collierville. 

The Jaguar Invitational is a two-day, 36 hole event with 36 holes contested Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  It will be held at Forest Hills Golf Club, which was designed by renowned architect Donald Ross.  It plays to a par 72 and a length of 7,40 yards. 

The field features 10 teams and includes the likes of Belmont, Western Carolina, West Georgia, High Point, and Georgia State.
