NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Belmont University Men's cross country team started off the season with a dominant performance at the Belmont Opener at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. The Bruins took first in a field of local competition.
Freshman Charley Townsend (running unattached) took the first place spot with a time of 15:14.7.
Belmont athletes dominated the top of the leader board, with five of the top six finishes.
Returning junior Drew Brill took third, and senior Noah Epker rounded out the top five.
Newcomers Coleman Cronk, Max Malloy, and Sam Shuman also ranked in the top ten at their Belmont debut, each with times under 15:30.0.
