Nashville, Tenn. - After a short break from racing, the Belmont women's cross country team will return to action at the Gans Creek Classic in Colombia, Mo. on Friday, Sept. 26.
The Bruins head west of the Mississippi after competing at the Southern Showcase on Sept. 12 in Huntsville, Alabama.
In Colombia, the Bruins will face off against competitors from across the country such as Kansas, Maine, Nebraska, San Diego State, Texas Tech, and Washington University St. Louis.
The Bruins will also have the opportunity to race against conference opponents Drake, UIC, and Northern Iowa.
The Women's Black Championship begins at 10:30 a.m. CT.
What's Bruin
- Belmont placed 24th at Jacksonville State's Southern Showcase on Sept. 12
- The team finished ahead of tough competitors including South Florida, UT Martin, and others.
- Freshman Sophie Nicholls finished in the top 50.
