NASHVILLE, Tenn. -Â Belmont University Men's Track & Field competed in the Indoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt University Feb. 13-14.

In a late-night race on Friday, graduate student
Matty Mackay ran a 14:11.41 in the men's 5000m, breaking the program record set by
Carter Cheeseman in 2024. This time placed him 1st in his heat and 6th overall, outperforming runners from Purdue, Vanderbilt, and Cincinnati.
More Bruins continue to rack up PRs this season.
Reuben Macdonald and
Noah Epker both ran record times in the mile at 4:10.62 and 4:11.58 respectively.
Also in the 5000m,
Drew Brill ran a PR of 14:25.60.

On Saturday,
Tezz Dozier hit 49.51 in the 400m for a PR.

Belmont returns to competition in two week for the 2026 MVC Indoor Championships in Indianapolis on March 1-2.
