Aimee Smith-Brown, who lettered from 1988-1992, was one of the top women’s basketball players in Belmont history. Brown ranks second in career scoring with 2,355 points and ranks in the top five in four other career statistical categories (field goals made, field goals attempted, field goal percentage and free throws made).

Brown was named the school’s first NAIA first-team All-American in 1992 and earned Honorable Mention NAIA All-American honors in 1991. On November 11, 1992, her jersey became the first retired in women’s basketball history.

In addition to her personal accolades, Aimee was the glue that led the women's basketball program to unprecedented heights. Belmont amassed a sparkling 110-27 record during her four-year career as the Rebelettes won five tournament championships and reached the NAIA National Tournament twice.
