Dale Alsup, a sharp-shooting forward with tremendous offensive flair, played basketball at Belmont from 1967-1970.

Following in the footsteps of brother and fellow Bruin Hall of Famer, Marlin Alsup, Dale made a significant impact upon Belmont Athletics.

Alsup scored 20 points or more in a remarkable 20 games in 1970, including a season-high 34 points against Lemoyne Owen. He was named 1970 VSAC Player of the Year, tabbed All-District 24 as a senior and earned VSAC All-Conference team honors twice.  He also led the conference in scoring and was selected to play the Tennessee/Kentucky College All-Star Games.

Alsup has continued his allegiance to Belmont since graduating, as a loyal supporter of all Belmont Athletics' events. He also served as Belmont game manager for several years.
