Jason Keen came to Belmont as a "thinking man's pitcher" in the Greg Maddux mold. After earning Metro Player of the Year honors in 1989, Keen rode a vexing breaking ball to great success on the mound for Belmont.

The Rebels' ace for four seasons, Keen was a three-time All-VSAC selection and a member of the All-District 24 squad.

A Nashville native, Keen remains the all-time Belmont leader in complete games with 23. Keen also holds top 10 record book spots in victories (23), ERA (2.73), innings pitched (260.2), winning percentage (.697), and strikeouts (187).

Regarded as no-nonsense and mature beyond his years, Keen was a natural leader and a team-first player.
