Bill Moore played baseball for Belmont from 1961-1965. Moore was a highly-regarded two-sport star in baseball and basketball from Central High School in Nashville. Quickly establishing himself as one of the top power hitters in program history, Moore played center field and was a four-year starter. He posted a career .300 batting average and had the knack for late inning heroics, often winning games with clutch home runs. The slugger earned All-VSAC honors in 1964 and 1965.

Moore also served as a team manager for men's basketball.

A longstanding supporter of Belmont University and the athletic program, Moore was named a recipient of the 1988 Chaney Memorial Award, which honors those who give untiringly to the betterment of the Belmont athletic program.

Moore graduated from Belmont Cum Laude in 1965 and served as a Regional Sales Manager for Royal Typewriter for five years before becoming an owner of Better Business Solutions. He is currently retired.
