Kerry West was one of top guards in Belmont basketball history.

Teaming with the likes of Al Allen, DaQuinn Goff and Casey Alexander, West was the sharpshooting specialist for the high-scoring Rebels.

West was part of the 1995 Belmont team that ascended to No. 1 in the NAIA National poll. He earned first team NAIA All-American honors in 1995 and was an honorable mention selection in 1996.

In addition, West helped lead Belmont to two NAIA final Four appearances in 1995 and 1996. He is the school’s record holder for career steals (284), ranks second in career three-pointers made (360) and career assists (745), is tied for fifth in career three-point percentage (.406), and ranks fifth in scoring (2,098).

In 2001, he was named to the All-Striplin Gymnasium team.
