Pollock Allen was a foundational figure in building the Belmont women’s track program from the ground up. An 11-time All-Atlantic Sun selection, the Clarksville, Tennessee native graduated from Belmont holding the school record in eight different track disciplines—400-meter hurdles, 60-meter hurdles, 55-meter hurdles, and five relays. She earns multiple NCAA Championship first-round qualifier nods, and took home conference championships in the 400-meter hurdles, as well as the 4 x 100-meter relay and 4 x 400-meter relay. Pollock-Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in sport administration from Belmont. Since graduating from Belmont, Elizabeth has been coaching at the collegiate and high school levels. At the high school level, she has made stops at the University School of Nashville, Lakeview Centennial High School (Texas), and was a head coach at Allen High School in Texas. At the collegiate level, she began her career at Tennessee State University, coached at the University of North Texas, and now currently coaching at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. In 2010, Elizabeth wed to Anthony Allen. They have been blessed with three wonderful children, Lia Allen, Ava Allen, and Anthony Allen Jr. Elizabeth has also co-founded Fastrac Recruiting, LLC with her husband Anthony Allen and they currently attend The Life Church RVA in Richmond, Virginia.
