Drabyn helped Belmont men’s basketball’s ascension from NCAA Division I independent to Atlantic Sun Conference contender and national prominence.

The LaPorte, Indiana native was an indispensable part of the 2004 men’s basketball team that went 21-9 and earned an invitation to the Postseason NIT. Aside from wins over eventual Top 25 Air Force and UCF, Drabyn sank the clinching free throws in Belmont’s landmark victory at nationally-ranked Missouri.
A year prior, Drabyn helped the Bruins win the Atlantic Sun Conference North Division in only the program’s second conference season.
Drabyn ranks 13th on the Bruins’ NCAA era scoring list with 1,237 points and holds the Atlantic Sun Conference career record for free throw percentage. Moreover, he led the nation in free throw percentage (.951) in 2003.
