Dave Jarvis has been Belmont’s Head Baseball Coach from 1998 to the present. In his 23 seasons at Belmont, Jarvis has established the Bruins as one of the most consistent and respected programs in NCAA Division I baseball.
Belmont made a huge impact in the last two years in the Atlantic Sun before moving to the Ohio Valley Conference in 2013. Belmont won back-to-back league titles in 2011 and 2012, earning bids to the NCAA tournament in their last two seasons.
During the 2012 season, Jarvis lead the team to a program best 39 wins. Jarvis garnered the university it’s first ever NCAA championship wins in any sport in 2011 with victories over Oklahoma State and Troy.
During Belmont’s reign in the A-Sun, Jarvis coached 44 All-Atlantic Sun Conference selections, 180 Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference selections and 26 Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honorees. In 2003, Jarvis earned the Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year honors 2003.
In the Ohio Valley Conference, Jarvis has coached 37 All-Conference selections, 88 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll honorees and 23 OVC Player of the Week honorees.
Jarvis has developed 28 players from Belmont who have gone on to play professional baseball.
