Belmont historians regard Jerry Vradenburg as one of the top five athletes to ever play at Belmont.

Competing for both the basketball and baseball teams, he was a starter for the basketball team and was able to take on a leadership role early on.

A naturally-gifted athlete and touted as a professional prospect both as a pitcher and first baseman, Vradenburg was a central figure in Belmont's early athletic successes.

Vradenburg lettered in both men’s basketball and baseball at Belmont from 1956-1960. He was a two-time All-VSAC performer in basketball and ranks eighth in school history in career rebounding average at 9.9.
