Wilson Tucker ranks as one of the top hitters in Belmont history.

During his career at Belmont from 1976-1979, Tucker, Sr. consistently got on base and scored runs like few before or since. In 1978, he posted the second highest single season batting average with .435 average. He currently ranks in the top 10 in runs scored (141) and triples (10). 

Tucker earned All-District and All-VSAC honors in 1978 and was a two-time All-City player. In 1979, he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 32nd round of MLB Draft, later reaching the Double-A level of the organization.

His son, Wilson Tucker, also starred for the Bruins, and was eventually drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2007.
