Eva de Paulis remains one of the greatest long distance runners in Belmont cross country and track history.

An elite runner from her native Sweden, de Paulis was a three-time All-District 24 performer (1989, 1990, 1991) and winner of the NAIA District 24 Individual Cross Country Championship in 1990.

de Paulis was an NAIA All-American in the marathon at the 1990 NAIA Outdoor Championships. Earning a time of 10:39 in the 3,000 meters, de Paulis competed in the marathon in the 1991 NAIA Outdoor Championships, and again earned All-American honors.
