Ann Jacobs-Eades played two seasons for the women’s basketball team before sustaining a knee injury, but she made a lasting impact upon the program.
From the point guard position, she was a two-time All-American. During her first season, she led Belmont in scoring (282) and scoring average (18.8).
Jacobs-Eades was a versatile player with uncanny vision and instincts. Her ability to penetrate, pass and use her imagination with the ball was a joy to behold. She was creative and made her teammates better, and her relentless effort resulted in many points for others.
In 2001, Jacobs-Eades was named to the All-Striplin Gymnasium team. She continued her career in basketball as a coach at her high school alma mater.
